Encounter Rages in Doda- Two Local Militants Likely Trapped

An encounter has raged  between militants and Government forces at Dhara area of Gundna in Doda District of the  Chenab valley

Sources told The Kashmiriyat  that a team of 10 RR, jammu kashmir police and CRPF laid a siege around the area.

The forces late night laid and siege following specific inputs about presence of Militants when they were fired upon by Militants, after which the Army retaliated to the firing.

The Forces retaliated and the exchange of fire triggering an encounter, a security Official old The Kashmiriyat that two to three Militants are believed to be trapped at the site of the encounter, while the firing at the encounter site is still going on.

He said that, “The joint forces following a specific Police input, begun an operation late last night in Doda District,” adding, after intense searches the Militants opened fire upon the Government forces around 7 30 am.

A Local speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that a massive exchange of gunfire is underway.
