An encounter has started between militants and Government forces at Dhobi Mohalla of Pantha Chowk in Srinagar District.
A Police official told The Kashmiriyat that on Saturday night CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about Militant presence in the area laid a cordon and search operation in the area.
The cordon continued for nearly an hour hours, during which the hiding Militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter.

All the entry and exit points of the area have been sealed by the Forces.
As per initial reports available to The Kashmiriyat three militants were trapped in the area, Sources said that a massive exchange of fire is being heard at the site of the encounter.
Meanwhile in another gunfight that raged in Pulwama early morning on Saturday, three Militants were killed.
