Stories of pain and human emotions continue to emerge from the tragic crash of the PIA flight in Karachi, which killed a total of 97 people, it had 99 people onboard, on Friday, when it crashed, just two people survived.
Five members the Polani family are among the victims of this air crash, Zain Polani — Yahya Polani’s nephew and younger son of Zikrya Polani — his wife Ms Shahida and three sons were travelling in the ill-fated PIA aircraft, Shahida was pursuing PhD in London and was residing there with her husband and children. A few days ago, they were allowed to travel to Pakistan, for Eid ul Fitr.

The Pakistan International Airlines plane crash, just two days ahead of Eid, has sent shockwaves across the globe, the incident happens at a time, when the planet is marred by the virus outbreak and the chaos related to it, has clouded any faint glimmer of happiness offered by the festival of Eid.
The Pakistan International Airlines, PIA spokesperson Abdullah Hafeez said that the A320 Airbus was carrying 91 passengers and 8 crew members from Lahore to Karachi on PK 8303 appeared to attempt to land two or three times before crashing in a residential area near the airport, the Pakistan Media reported.
“The aeroplane first hit a mobile tower and crashed over houses,” witness Shakeel Ahmed said near the site, just a few kilometres short of the airport, Reuters reported.
Many families had been on board the plane, hoping to reunite with loved ones for the Eid holidays. Authorities are now identifying and handing over bodies of the crash victims to their families, Hailing from Waheedabad’s Gulbahar area, Waqas and his family lost their lives in the crash.

Another traveller, also from Karachi’s Bahadurabad area, was identified as Saleem Qadri. Saleem had gone to Lahore in relation to his work, Saleem and his son, Osama, both died in the crash, according to their relatives, The deceased’s relatives said that the bodies were not in a condition to be identified and would be matched by DNA.
Karachi’s Mohammad Bashir was among the victims of the plane crash, his family said.

His body has not been identified as yet. The family members said that the deceased left behind a widow and three children.
