Family of Missing Freelance Journalist Appeals him to Return Home

The family of a 23-year-old youth who has gone missing from his home in the Veeri area of Bijbehara in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district has appealed to the public to help them trace out their missing family member.

Speaking to The Kashmiriyat over the phone, a family member of the youth identified as Rayees Ahmed Veeri, said, “He went to the gym on Friday and said that he will return back soon, soon after this his phone went missing around the evening time.”

Rayees aged 23, son of Ghulam Mohammed Bhat, a resident of the Veeri area in Bijbehara other than working as a freelance journalist, also worked with a gas agency in Anantnag township in South Kashmir.

The family member said that they have been calling his number constantly, however his phone has been on switched off mode since.

“We also visited his relatives and friends, but we have been unable to trace him, we ask the Police and general public to help us trace him” the family member appealed.

Meanwhile, the family has filed a missing report at the concerned Police Station.

As per the missing report, Rayees is working “shopkeeper/media person. Further verification into the matter is going on,”
