Farmers in Haryana Destroyed Wheat Crops in Protest against Farm Laws

On Thursday, in Haryana, farmers destroyed their wheat crops in protest against government’s new three agriculture laws.

Some of the farmers from Karnal, Jind and Ambala had destroyed their crops over two to three acres of their land using their tractors.
Several political and farmer leaders have appealed to farmers not to resort to such measures.

One of the farmer had said that we did it because we are protesting against new agriculture laws.

BKU Chief Gurnam Singh Chaduni said that “I appeal that no farmer should destroy crop or commit suicide. We are fighting, we are not leaving the agitation”.

We will continue this agitation till the time the government does not accept our demands, he added.
