First Ever Cyber Attack on Data Base Centre of PDD in Kashmir

The data base server of the Power Development department (PDD) in the Kashmir valley has been cyber attacked for the first time ever, Sources told The Kashmiriyat.

A Source within the PDDs IT Department speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that on Wednesday around 4 AM, the cyber attack happened and soon the cyber Police reached the spot.

The Cyber Police have registered an FIR in the connection and are investigating the facts.

The Source said that the data base server has been attacked and we have been unable to verify any customer details, print bills and the data. “The billing has been affected to a massive extent,” he told The Kashmiriyat.

Neel Kamal Singh, executive Engineer IT PDD, speaking with a Jammu Based media outlet has confirmed the attack

He said that out of the fifty servers, four servers came under attack, adding, “we do not know the extend of attack as of now.”

He also verified that this is the first cyber attack in Kashmir valley.

Meanwhile The Mahrashtra cyber Department has claimed that Chinese Hackers Made Over 40,000 Cyber Attacks on India in Past 5 Days.
