Five women among nine injured in Handwara road mishap

At least nine people were injured in a road mishap in north Kashmir’s Handwara village on Tuesday.

Reports reaching News Agency Kashmir Scroll say that a passenger bus met with an accident in the Tootigund area of Handwara.

In the mishap, nine passengers sustained injuries and were immediately taken to GMC Handwara for treatment.

A health official at GMC Handwara also confirmed this road mishap to News Agency Kashmir Scroll and identified all injured as Abdullah son of Gul Malik of Khag Shuglipora, Maqsad Ahmad Mir son of All Mohd, Zarifa Begum wife of And Majeed or Lolab, Yasir Majeed Shiekh son of Ab Majeed of Sogam, Faiz Ahmad son of Majnun Ahmad Lone of Maglora, Waheeda Begum wife of Bashir Ahmad of Wasuna, Rukaya Rasool wife of Saleem Yousuf Parray of Choru Sopore, Mehvish Jan daughter of Sultan Bhat of Drugmulla, and Fancy wife of Latief Kumar of Pattan.

The health official, however, said that the condition of all the injured is stable. (KS)
