A family from Wathoo area in South Kashmir’s Shopian on Sunday alleged that the Government Force personnel barged into their house hold and thrashed two inmates ruthlessly.
Reports reaching The Kashmiriyat said that Sheeraz Ahmed, a cleric from Arihal in Pulwama and his father in law at Wathoo area late night on Friday.
Locals from Wathoo told The Kashmiriyat that the Forces barged into the household late Friday nigh, absuing everyone and later thrashed two of the inmates.
Sheeraz, as per reports, had gone to Wahoo from Arhial Pulwama too see his in laws, his wife and two children.
“They were beaten ruthlessly after which they were shifted to a local hospital from where they have been shifted to Srinagar for advanced treatement,” a relative of Sheeraz told The Kashmiriyat.
The relative said that Forces claiming that militants were hiding in the house, started search operations, however, they found nothing, after which they assaulted Sheeraz and his father in law.
He said that forces also vandalized their property.
An Army official denied the allegations and said Forces do not engage in uncivilized behaviour.
