The residents of Traigam area in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district accused the Government Forces of harassment during a cordon and search operation in the area on Monday.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that the forces damaged three power transformers and also set a motor-cycle on fire during a cordon and search Operation.
They said that clashes had erupted between the youth and Government Forces during the operation launched in Mukdam Mohalla of the Tarigam area.
Locals said that soldiers in a bid to terrorize locals damaged three power transformers.
They said that a few locals were also injured in the action of Government Forces who fired tear smoke shells and pellets on the protesting civilians.
A police official upon being contacted said that they are investigating the matter.
