A Police official speaking to The Kashmiriyat confirmed that a joint team of Army’s 22 RR, SOG, and 179 CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Harwan village of Sopore town and conducted house to house searches in this Sopore area
Meanwhile, Sources said that searches in the area were launched following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
The forces have installed lights so as to prevent the escape of militant owing to the darkness, they said
Searches were going on in the area when the last reports came in.
