Former member of Jamiat Ahli Hadith and senior citizen Anantnag town died after brief illness in the south Kashmir district.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that Abdul Aziz Narchoor (Rehmani) who ran a medical store (Rehmani Medical store) at Janglat Mandi Anantnag died on Sunday morning.
The 70-year-old was formerly a member of Jamiat Ahli Hadees Jammu Kashmir and was highly respectable among locals in the south Kashmir town.
His demise has been widely condoled by people of the town and other civil society bodies of Anantnag.
In a statement, Anantnag Working Journalists Association President, Sajad Muniwari along with other members of the association expressed condolences with the bereaved family.
“The contribution of deceased in propagation of Islam and his social work was remarkable and widely hailed, the statement said adding that He was very sympathetic and cordial to even an unknown person,” the statement read.
