Four members of a family were among five persons who died in a road accident in the Samba district on Saturday morning, one person was injured.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that on Saturday a vehicle bearing the registration number (JK01U-0223) skidded off the road when it was on the way to Kashmir from Jammu. “The vehicle fell down into a deep gorge in Mansar area of Samba,” he said.
The onboard passengers named Gulzar Ahmed Bhat (60), his wife Zara Begum, his son Mohd Iqbal Bhat, his daughter Masarat Jan Bhat all died in the accident. The driver Saqib Ahmed also died during an accident.
The deceased were residents of Anantnag’s Ranipora area.
Police have registered a case and further investigations are underway.
