Four more houses to be attached for ‘sheltering’ militants, says Police

The Jammu Kashmir Police has initiated the process of attaching four more residential houses in Srinagar for allegedly sheltering militants, officials said

In a press statement, Jammu Kashmir Police said, SIU of Srinagar district filed Chargesheet in NIA court, Srinagar against 13 accused including 3 active militants of TRF in FIR no 127/2022 of Parimpura PS in sections of UAPA, Arms act.

“Process has also started for attachment of four (4) houses which sheltered militants,” Srinagar Police Tweeted.

Earlier, a Police spokesperson in a statement issued on 21st June 21, said that five (05) residential Houses of willful harbourers of militants were attached as per section 2(g) and section 25 of UA(P).

On September 25,  the residential house of one person namely Bashir Ahmad Mir of Wanpora Gurez at present Watrina after obtaining legal sanction from the competent authorities was attached for the “willful harbouring” of militants.

“Some more such houses have been identified and any willful harbouring will be dealt with the full force of law. Citizens are once again requested not to harbour or give shelter to militants, failing which we will be forced to take resort to attachment proceedings. In case of any forced/coercive entry by militants into any house, the matter should be brought to the notice of police immediately,” the Jammu Kashmir Police had said.
