Four Villages in Kupwara Decarded as Red Zones

After witnessing a surge in Covid-19 cases, the district administration has declared four villages of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district as ‘red zones’ on Sunday.

The district administration has also enforced a strict curfew, not in the main town alone but has also restricted the movement of people living in the red zones.

An official said that 4 villages have been declared ‘red zones’ in Kupwara. He identified the red zones as Goos, Shaloora Teli Mohalla, Dardsun Kralpora and Bunpora Trehgam.

“There will be no inward or outward movement of any person from these villages and people have been asked to strictly stay indoors,” the official added.

He said the administration will ensure the screening of households in these red zones without any delay. KNT
