The Ganderbal Police prevented a suicide bid attempted by a minor girl, timely.
On Friday, in the evening hours, DO Police Post Shadipora Sub Inspector Gulzar Ahmad during patrolling in the area, found a girl attempting to jump into the river Jehlum at village Shalhar Dab, Ganderbal.
After noticing her movement as doubtful, DO Shadipora rushed towards her and foiled her suicidal attempt.
The Girl (name with held), happened to be a resident of Magam, Budgam. She was pacified and after proper counselling, handed over to her parents.
General people of Ganderbal applauded this action of Police and parents expressed their gratitude to the Police for swift response which saved a life.
