Sajad Hameed

Abdul Hameed Pandit, a poor citizen in Maghama In Kunzer area of Baramulla District, was billed Rs.1124 by PDD department.

Abdul Hameed said  that six years  ago he built a house half a kilometer away from his village, so it was necessary to have electricity in his house. “In this regard, I went to the relevant office hundreds of times in six years and asked them  to provide electricity. But till  date no attention has been paid to my plea.”

He further said, “I have lived by candles.  There is no electricity or electric lamp in my house. I cannot understand how the department sent an electric bill to me.”

Talking to The Kashmiriyat, A neighbor of Abdul Hameed said “I accompanied him (Abdul Hameed) many times to the PDD department and like other government offices no one paid any attention to his problem.”

Now the department, out of nowhere has, an Electricity agreement of his house, and have sent an electricity bill, without actually providing electricity here. How dare they ! I request the authorities on his behalf to please investigate the matter, the neighbour said.
