Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday claimed to have arrested two persons who are involved in raping a girl inside the vehicle (truck) in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
In a press release issued to The Kashmiriyat, the Police said, Police Post Mirbazar received specific information that a girl (name withheld) was being raped by two persons namely Hafiz Farooq Parray and Ubaid Ayoub Raina both the residents of Gadihama Kulgam inside a Vehicle bearing registration Number JK18A-6426 near FCI Mirbazar.
On tip off Police party from Police Post Mirbazar led by I/C PP Mirbazar Sub Inspector Imtiyaz Ahmad under the supervision of SHO Qazigund Insp. Irshad Reshi and SDPO Qazigund Shri. Mohd Shafiq-JKPS rushed to the spot, rescued the girl, and arrested the two culprits also the vehicle used for the commission of the crime was seized.
Subsequently, Case FIR No. 63/2021 U/S 376, 109 IPC was registered at Police Station Qazigund and investigation was initiated in the instant matter.
After fulfilling all medicolegal formalities the girl was handed over to her legal heirs. Further investigation of the case is going on.
