Government Middle School Cheki Isherdaas of Zone Achabal in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district conducts a Cleanliness Drive.
The initiative is aimed to create awareness among common people and sensitize them about the importance of cleanliness in our lives. Students and teachers of both the schools actively participated in drive.
The motive behind organizing such drives is only to aware common people regarding cleanliness and to make surroundings clean and pollution free”, Muneer Ahmad, Headmaster, Government Middle School Cheki Isherdaas said after recalling ‘Cleanliness is half of the faith’, a famous saying of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Muneer Ahmad also said that we need to preserve and protect environment for sustenance of life on the planet. She stated that plastic and polythene pose a great threat to environment and its use must be discarded.
Same drive was conducted by middle School Bondailgam area of district Anantnag under supervision of Mohd ishaq head of institution.
The focus of the drives was adoption of hygienic practices, especially handwashing, waste segregation, good personal hygiene, toilet use and water conservation. he said that it is the responsibility of each one of us to make it a real model by generating awareness about all-around cleanliness. “The main thrust of the drive is to create awareness among general public regarding the use of dustbins and to do away with littering of surroundings. The Motto of Drive was to remind Mahatama Gandhis slogan of Cleanliness Is Godliness.
