An intense hailstorm has wrecked havoc in some areas of north Kashmir’s Baramulla and Kupwara districts.
Affected locals told The Kashmiriyat that an intense hail storm on Thursaday caused immense damage to fields in the Tawheed Gunj, Wagoora, and Tilgam areas of the Baramulla district.
They said that the hailstorm continued for nearly ten minutes and caused damage to paddy fields, maize crops, apple trees, and almond orchards in the twin districts.
“We are mostly dependent on these crops for our livelihood and constant hailstorms have damaged our crops,” they said.
They appealed to the administration to compensate for their losses.
