As per Sweety, she had filed a Domestic violence case against her in-laws and husband months back.

“Court’s decision was just but the thing is the order’s aren’t being implemented”, Sweety Rashid alleged, adding, “There is nothing bigger than court.”

She, further, said that court has directed the officials to settle her down at her own house, which according to her, she had built made by selling gold. But she is being harrassed.

Sweety alleged that when the Tehsildar and CDPO Pampore settled her down in the said house on 14 September, on the evening of the same day, the Police and the CRPF along with her husband dragged her out from the house.

She appealed to the Lt. Governor Jammu Kashmir, Inspector General of Police Kashmir and the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir to interfere in the matter so that she can get justice at the earliest and her children don’t suffer.

A Police official said that On 14th September Police Station Khrew received a status quo order passed by Hon’ble Court of Sub Judge Pulwama, wherein the directions have been passed not to allow the non applicant i.e Sweety Jan and her matrimonial family members to interfere with the property of the applicant till the next date of hearing.

In compliance to the orders of the court, Police team from Police Station Khrew along with Lady police reached the spot to implement the order . But the family members of the lady Sweety created ruckus and dettered Police team from doing lawful duties, he said.
