High Court of J&K and Ladakh quashed the detention orders of four persons booked under the Public Safety Act and ordered their release “if not needed in any other case.”
A bench of Justice Sanjay Dhar quashed detention orders against Saqib Ahmed Waza of Tral and Imran Ganie of Baramulla and Shakir Ahmed Kumar of Shopian.
Imran was booked under the Public Safety Act since April 9 April 2022, Saqib was detained on 16 December 2021. and Shakir was jailed under PSA since 28 June, 2022.
The PSA detention of Manzoor Ahmad Wani of Qaimoh Kulgam, detained since 27 August, 2022 was quashed by Justice M A Chowdhary.
