Hoist Tricolour on All Government buildings within 15 Days- DC Anantnag Issues Fresh order

The deputy commissioner in Anantnag has issued an order asking all Government Offices to hoist tricolor atop the Government buildings in this South Kashmir district.

In a circular accessed y The Kashmiriyat, the newly appointed Deputy Commissioner of Anantnag, Dr. Piyiush Singla said that the Indian National Flag represents the hopes and aspirations of the people of India and it is the symbol of our national pride.

He in this fresh order while asking people to Government employees to hoist the flag said that the Government of India, to bring awareness amongst the people and also in the organizations/agencies of the government, in regard to laws, practices and conventions that apply to the display of the National Flag, has defined a Flag Code of India, 2002.

For the sake of convenience, Flag Code of India, 2002, has been divided into three parts, Part I of the Code contains general description of the National Flag, Part II of the Code is devoted to the display of the National Flag by the members of public, private organization, education institutions etc. and Part III of the Code relates to display of the National Flag by Central and State Governments and their organizations and agencies.

Accordingly, in pursuance of part III of the Code, it is impressed upon all District / Pectoral Heads / Tehsil/ Block level officers to ensure that National Flag is flown on all Government offices/buildings across the district within 15 days positively.

The district heads shall submit the information on a daily basis.
