The Directorate of Health Services in Kashmir (DHSK) has on Sunday directed the hospital to continue with the Out-Patient Department (OPD) services till further orders.
An order issued by the DHSK read that in consultation with Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, it has been decided that both COVID & Non-COVID activities will continue to function normally, which includes routine OPDs and elective surgeries till further orders.
The hospitals across Kashmir have been directed to continue to function normally, which includes routine OPDs & Elective Surgeries till further orders. However, it is impressed upon all the Chief Medical Officers, Medical Superintendents, and Block Medical Officers of Kashmir Division that COVID Protocols and Guidelines shall be strictly adhered to while routine functions of the hospitals is being undertaken.
The decision about closure of routine OPDs/Elective surgeries will be taken after taking into consideration the COVID as it evolves in the coming days.
