Hotel Owners In Sonamarg Appeal District Administration Ganderbal To Reopen Sonamarg Road For Tourists

Hotel owners in Sonamarg have appealed to District Development Commissioner Ganderbal to Open the Sonamarg Road for tourists.

A Hotel Owners Sajjad Rasool told  The Kashmiriyat that they have been sitting idle for the last twenty months and the tourism sector are at peak these days and they are only visiting Gulmarg, Pahalgam, and Srinagar’s Dal Lake, but due to the closure of Sonamarg Road hotel owners Who are immersed in bank loans suffering a lot of problems.

Sajjad Rasool said that after August 5 2019 Situation Than the global epidemic spread Rapidly hundreds of employees working in different Hotels have lost their daily Jobs.

“Every year Sonamarg has only four months of Tourist Season and hotel owners hire hundreds of unemployed youth to earn at least daily bread, but they are now idle for several months”. He said that if a good number of Tourists are coming Nowadays but they return from the Gagangeer due to road closure.

He appealed to the District Administration Ganderbal to open Sonamarg Road for tourists and to restore electricity and other facilities there so that they can also earn daily.
