The petition of Kashmiri students seeking transfer of case from Agra court to Mathura court couldn’t be heard as Justice Sadhna Rani didn’t attend the court.

It is pertinent to mention that three Kashmiri students were booked under sedition after they allegedly celebrated the win of Pakistan cricket team in a T20 match against the Indian cricket team.

The trio had filed a petition at the Allahabad High Court seeking transfer of the case from Mathura Court to Agra Court. Earlier, the Allahabad High Court had fixed 10th December as the date of hearing.

As per reports, the next date of hearing has been fixed as 14th December.

National Spokesperson of Jammu and Kashmir Students Association, Nasir Khuehami, in a tweet said, “Our lawyer Adv Madhuvan Chaturvedi informed me that tansfer application of 3 Kashmiri Students booked under Sedition charges Couldn’t be heard as Justice Sadhna Rani Thakur didn’t attend the court on 10th. It is now scheduled for 14th.”

“Bail Application is likely to be heard on any day in next week commencing from Monda,” he wrote in another tweet.

The trio – Arsheed Yusuf, Inayat Altaf and Showket Ahmad, studying at Raja Balwant Singh Engineering College in Agra – were booked by Uttar Pradesh Police under section 153A, 505(1) B of IPC, section 66F of IT Act and section 124 (A) (Sedition).
