One snow creature that has always intrigued humans and we know hardly anything about is the Yeti. The mythical beast known to inhabit the higher regions of the Himalayas, which some people claim to have seen and others call imaginary.
However, a kind of ‘breakthrough’ was made by a group of Indian Army soldiers during one of their recent mountaineering expeditions. At least that is what they think.
The group discovered footprints measuring up to 32X15 inches, of a Yeti according to them, in the Makalu-Barun National Park, situated in the Himalayan region of Nepal.
The Twitter account of the Additional Directorate General of Public Information (ADG PI – Indian Army) – the official Twitter handle of the Indian Army – posted about this group with a couple of pictures of the footprints.
They wrote, “For the first time, an #IndianArmy Moutaineering Expedition Team has sited Mysterious Footprints of mythical beast ‘Yeti’ measuring 32×15 inches close to Makalu Base Camp on 09 April 2019. This elusive snowman has only been sighted at Makalu-Barun National Park in the past.
Former BJP Minister, Indian author and journalist, Tarun Vijay has a different demand altogether. He commented on the post, asking the Indian Army to not use the term ‘beast’ for Yeti and instead, use ‘snowman’.(India Today)
