Indian flag Burnt Down in London

An Indian flag was burnt down in Central London yesterday while the London Metropolitan Police quietly watched the flag burning taking place right before its eyes.

The incident took place at Parliament Square as Prime Minister Narendra Modi was addressing the Indian community at Westminster on Wednesday.

Indian activists are outraged over the London Metropolitan Police turning a blind eye to the Indian flag being pulled down from a pole and replaced by a flag representing Indian Administered Kashmir and Khalistan.

The Indian tricolour was allegedly pulled down and ripped apart by a a pro-Khalistani activist.

Meanwhile India has demanded legal action against those behind the desecration of the Indian flag at Parliament Square here during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s UK visit.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said the matter had been taken up with the UK government and had been regretted at the highest level.

“We are deeply anguished with the incident involving our national flag at Parliament Square.
