Internet Barred in South Kashmir, Parts of Kashmir Valley

Mobile Internet has been extended to the entire South Kashmir following an encounter that raged early morning on Thursday in the Dalwach area of Dooru in South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) District.

The Kashmiriyat had reported about internet ban in Pulwama and Shopian that had been imposed on 21 September following the resignation of SPOs of Jammu Kashmir Police.

On Thursday morning, Internet ban was imposed in the renaming two districts of South kashmir, Islamabad and Kulgam after a Militant was killed in an ambush in Dooru area of Islamabad (Anantnag) District.

Authorities have also suspended internet services in Srinagar after a brief encounter between Militants and Government Forces in the Srinagar outskirts.

One civilian was killed and Militants managed to give a slip to the forces and escape an encounter.

In Budgam also, an encounter broke out early morning on Thursday after which authorities suspended internet in the district.

Meanwhile authorities had also imposed internet ban in Baramulla after a local Militant, Abdul Majeed Mir was killed in a gunfight on Tuesday in Sopore’s Tujjar Shareef Area.
