Irfana Zargar Breaking Taboo by Distributing Sanitary Kits: Eva Safety Kit

In this pandemic, while social workers are busy distributing food items, a girl from Srinagar is breaking the taboo by distributing sanitary kits.

Irfana Zargar, in an initiative dedicated to her beloved father, Ghulam Hassan Zargar, started ‘Eva Safety Kit’, to help the women of the valley.

Talking to media persons, Irfana said, “ I started this concept in the washrooms first, I wanted to cover 15 washrooms in Srinagar city and later go to villages”.

She has already covered the 15 washrooms in Srinagar city by providing free menstrual kits there.

‘Eva Safety kit’ contains all the essentials that are required for maintaining healthy menstrual practices like sanitary napkins, antispasmodics, and hand wash.

Irfana is using her salary to fund this initiative and is hoping people come forward and help this initiative to grow.

She said, “If my sisters and brothers are with me then by the grace of God I will take this initiative forward and I want to take this mission to villages after the lockdown gets lifted, I will start this initiative again in the washrooms”.

Irfana has become the trailblazer and has been lauded by the people for this initiative.
