One local Militant has been killed in the gunfight that raged in Dalwach area of Dooru in South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) District early morning on Thursday.
Sources informed The Kashmiriyat that an ambush was laid down by Army following an input about Militant Movement in the area.

Officials confirmed that 19 RR of Indian Army had laid an operation in area and during the initial exchange of gunfire one Militant was killed.
He has been identified as Asif Malik of Khargund of Verinag area in South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) district, Sources told The Kashmiriyat.

They said that some Militants escaped from the site, after which Army has extended the search operation to nearby areas.
Meanwhile Mobile Internet services have been barred in South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) District.
