Israel conducted an airstrike in southern Syria, causing material losses, as reported by Syrian state media on Wednesday.

The military source mentioned missiles passing through Lebanon’s Baalbek region without specifying the targeted sites.

Israel has a history of attacking military locations in Syria since the war started by ISIL began in 2011.

The strikes are suspected to have hit a Syrian army air defense base and a radar station in Tel Qulaib and Tel Maseeh in the Sweida province in southwestern Syria, according to two defectors from the Syrian military.

A resident near Shahba in Sweida province observed red flames in the distance, accompanied by the sound of ambulances rushing to the scene. Israel’s military chose not to comment on the reported strike in Syria.
