An assistant professor from the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) has been awarded the Young Scientist and Technologist award by the Government of India.
Dr Hilal A Makroo who is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Food Technology in IUST Kashmir will receive the award from the Government of India’s Department of Science and Technology.
His research on “Ohmic heating based new aseptic and continuous processing of viscous food products for shelf-life enhancement” has been given the award under the heading “Socio-economic Development and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”
Dr. Makroo’s research team is on finding new uses for minor fruits and vegetables, byproducts, and food waste.
