Jammu Kashmir Administration Sacks Two Sons of Hizb Chief, Nine Others

Two sons of Hizb ul Mujahideen chief are among the eleven employees who have been terminated by the administration in Jammu Kashmir.

According to India Today report, eleven persons of the Jammu Kashmir Government have been terminated on Saturday after their alleged involvement in Anti-National Activities.

The report said that the eleven include the sons of Hizb Chief Syed Salahuddin identified as Syed Ahmed Shakeel and Shahid Yusuf who were working as Goverment Employees.

Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Out of the 11 govt employees dismissed, 04 are from Anantnag, 03 from Budgam, 01 each from Baramulla, Srinagar, Pulwama and Kupwara. Out of these, 04 were working in the Education Department, 02 in Jammu Kashmir Police, and 01 each in Agriculture, Skill Development, Power, SKIMS and Health Departments.

According to an official notice available with The Kashmiriyat, Two Teachers both from Anantnag District have been found involved in anti-national activities including participating, supporting, and propagating the secessionist ideology of Jamat-Islami (JeI) and Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM).

The eight Government employees recommended for dismissal in the fourth meeting of the Committee include two Constables of Jammu Kashmir Police who have supported terrorism from within the Police department and provided inside information to the militants as also logistic support. One Constable, Abdul Rashid Shigan, has himself executed attacks on the security forces.

The Sons of the most wanted militant and founder of the militant outfit, Hizbul Mujahideen founder Syed Salahudin has been axed. Son’s, Syed Ahmad Shakeel and Shahid Yousuf were also involved in terror funding. The NIA has tracked terror funding trails of both the persons who have been found involved in raising, receiving, collecting, and transferring funds through Hawala transactions for militant activities of Hizbul Mujahideen.

Another Govt employee with Militant links is Naaz Muhammad Allie, an employee of the Health Department. He is Over Ground Worker of HM and has a history of direct involvement in militant activities. Two dreaded militants were harbored by him at his residence, as per the official circular.

Two employees of the Education Department were also terminated. They have been identified as Jabbar Ahmad Paray and Nisar Ahmad Tantray were actively involved in furthering the agenda unleashed by the sponsors from Pakistan.

Shaheen Ahmad Lone, an Inspector of the Power Department has been found involved in smuggling and transporting arms for the Hizbul Mujahideen. He was found traveling with two militants on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway carrying arms, ammunition and explosives in January last year.

Recently, Jammu Kashmir Administration set up a Special Task Force (STF) to initiate action against government employees suspected of activities “against the security of the State”. This move was widely criticized by politicians, union leaders and civil society members.

Earlier an Executive Magistrate (First Class) in whose shop police claimed that it busted a ‘hideout’ last year in May in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, an Assistant professor from Kulgam , Abdul Bari naik and a teacher from North Kashmir’s Kupwara district were dismissed from service for their alleged involvement in anti-India activities
