Jammu Kashmir government relaxes upper age limit for combined competitive exams

Responding to thousands of students seeking age relaxation the Jammu Kashmir government  has relaxed the upper age limit of candidates for the Combined Competitive Examination-2024.

In a notification, of which a copy is available with The Kashmiriyat, the upper age limit for open merit candidates has been changed to 35, while for reserved category and in-service candidates and physically challenged candidates has been changed to 37 and 38 years respectively.

Pertinently, over the last few years, aspirants of various government jobs have been seeking an age relaxation, with many exams deferred and papers of a few leaked leading to exam cancellation.

Over the past few years, government job aspirants have been requesting age relaxation due to repeated exam postponements and cancellations caused by paper leaks.

Since 2020, many candidates have surpassed the upper age limit across all categories and are now seeking an extension.
