JK Police Starts Investigation After Militants Release Hit List

On 29th of August and 2nd of September JK Police issued a statement that said the militant leaders prepared hit lists containing names and details of Civilians, Activists, Political Workers and Security Force Personnel in Jammu Kashmir.

The lists were uploaded and with the help of cyber OGW’s these were circulated widely apparently with two motives that openly help the associates of militants in other areas and create a stronger base for serving the people according to the lawless representation, the statement further added.

They had connected a fake image depicting a young boy from Jammu Kashmir joining the militant ranks too was created and uploaded to spread negativity and also harm the boy variously.

FIR has been registered and Police has taken the cognizance of the matter and investigation is under wards with full force of criminal investigation backed by technical teams has been initiated and efforts are afoot to identify both the original offenders who created the content as well as others who are allowing their connections and accounts to maintain the communication systems of the militant networks.

The Police has taken the matter into consideration and it has to be kept in mind that any harm befalling the mentioner names in the list and sharing or supporting the cause shall be equally liable and charged for murder, grievous injuries, kidnapping and criminal intimidation.

The Police is also seeking help from the general masses to identify the miscreants who are aiding and backing up the agenda to infuse fear and the public servers won’t be able to serve the masses.
