The former chief Minister of Jammu Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday said that Jammu Kashmir is not like any other state, where they (BJP) bulldoze the houses of Muslims.
Pertinently, a school in Baramulla ‘Dagger Parivar’ run by a Pune -based NGO in collaboration with the Indian Army had allegedly asked teachers to not wear a hijab during the school hours.
The Kashmiriyat broke the story on 26 April and reported that a circular issued by Dagger Parivar School Baramulla on 25 April had asked the staff to avoid Hijab during school hours, so that students can feel comfortable and are forthcoming to interact with teachers & staff.
Officials from the Dagger Parivaar school calling the letter malicious propaganda said, “There is no issue here. This letter was shared by a teacher due to some misbehavior. We do not believe in such things.”
On being contacted by The Kashmiriyat, the official said that the issue has already been resolved, and declared null and void by the school. He said that the Dagger Parivaar School has many activities and therapies for the development of specially-abled children
I condemn this letter issuing diktats on hijab. J&K may be ruled by BJP but its certainly not like any other state where they bulldoze the houses of minorities & not allow them the freedom to dress as they want. Our girls will not give up their right to choose. pic.twitter.com/GpqX8UWv5k
