A day after Panun Kashmir, Kashmiri Pandits’ group, supported the “eviction” drives launched by the administration across Jammu Kashmir, another popular group of Kashmiri Pandits, Kashmiri Pandit Sangarsh Samiti (KPSS) has distanced itself from the statement.

Taking to Twitter, KPSS wrote, “ANYTHING HAPPEN TO RESIDENT KASHMIRI PANDITS (non-migrants) WILL BE ON THE SHOULDERS OF ‘PANUN KASHMIR’. GOVT AGENCIES SHALL NOT BE MUTE SPECTOR. Proactive statements of some kp organizations or individuals always harm our existence in the valley.”

In a tweet earlier, KPSS said that the drive must not be used to settle personal scores or attack the common man.

“Anti-encroachment drive is good, but not as a tool to settle personal or political scores. No one should be above law not even cadres from the Ruling Party. But a common man who is conned by the mafia & the then establishment should be exempted. As the law is for humans & not vicè-versa,” KPSS had said in a tweet.
