The gates of the famous Sufi Khanqah shrine of Dastgeer Sahab in Khanyaar have been shut for devotees in Srinagar as covid cases continue to show an upward surge in the Kashmir valley.
Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that the gates of the Khanaqah were shut on Thursday by the authorities of the Sufi Khanqah.
Meanwhile the Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid on Wednesday said that it has decided to suspend all congregational prayers at the Masjid for the time being for the safety of Namazis.
“In view of the rapid spread of COVID-19, although all SOPs were being strictly adhered to during prayers, Anjuman has decided to suspend all congregational prayers at the mosque for the time being for the safety of namazis,” the statement said
