Amid the heightened Anti Militancy operations, undertaken by the Indian Army in Jammu Kashmir, active Militants are being killed on one side and on the the other, Militants visibly are facing a shortage of weapons.
Sources claim that active militants in the state have a huge shortage of arms to even battle for hours with the Government forces, and the lack of training is also hitting the Militants badly.
The forces who have intensified their operations against Militants in Jammu Kashmir claim that due to the acute shortage of weapons, Pakistan is sending its infiltrators with weapons to fight against the security forces.
Referring to the recent encounter in Shopian, the security forces have claimed that 14 Militants have been killed in Shopian in three days, but only five weapons have been recovered from them.
Recently, during a search operation in the Keran sector of Kashmir, a Militant hideout was busted from where 5 AK 47 rifles, 15 AK magazines, 443 AK rounds, 2 UBGL, 57 UBGL Grenades, 69 A large amount of weapons and ammunition were recovered, including MM pistols, 129 mm magazines, 77 9 mm rounds, 15 hand grenades.
The security agencies claim that while the Militants do not have weapons on one side, the Militants are not even able to use the weapons lying in the hideout, due to the escalated Anti Militancy operations.
