
Anticipating that the leopard captured in Kralpora area is the same that was roaming around Rawalpora and it’s adjoining areas for the last two months, officials of Wildlife Department said that afresh trap was laid yesterday after they received information about its movement in the area.
Ifshan Dewan, Wildlife Warden Wetlands told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that after receiving information about the movement of a leopard in Kralpora area they laid a trap yesterday and were successful in capturing the wild animal.
“There was already a movement of leopard in Rawalpora, Hyderpora and it’s adjoining areas from more than a month, and it is highly likely that the animal which has been captured is the same”, she said.
She said the traps were earlier laid by the central Wildlife Division, but afresh trap was laid by their Budgam Wildlife division and a team from Hokersar and they successfully captured the leopard—(KNO)
