One militant have been killed during the encounter that broke out between militants and Government forces in the Kreesbal area of Srinagar in central Kashmir.
The Jammu Kashmir Police had earlier said that a chance #encounter started at Kreesbal Palpora Sangam area of Srinaagr with Militants and a small team of Srinagar Police.
During the gunfire, one militant of Lashkar e Taiba were killed.
The slain militant was identified as Adil Parray, a resident of Ganderbal.
“LeT militant Adil Parray of Ganderbal who was involved in the killing of 02 JKP personnel Gh Hassan Dar in Sangam & Saifulla Qadri in Anchar Soura and injuring a 9 year old girl, killed in a chance encounter with a small team of Police,” the Jammu Kashmir Police Tweeted quoting their IGP.
