A large number of residents including women assembled near Rahpora khudwani to stage protest against the Jal Shakti Department.
Amid slogans, the protestors also blocked vehicular movement on the road.
While speaking to The Kashmiriyat, the protestors said that the Jal Shakti Department is playing with their lives by not supplying them with drinking water.
“We are facing an acute water crisis and no one from the department is concerned about that,” they added.
Meanwhile, the concerned Xen Jal Shakti Department Shahnawaz Ah assured that the water crisis in the village will be sorted out very shortly.
He directed the concerned officers of the said area to restore the old line as soon as possible.
