Man from Pulwama Involved in an IED Blast Arrested by Jammu Police

A man from Pulwama has been arrested by Jammu Police for working with militants and being involved in their activities. The man was arrested from a bus stand in Jammu.

The man has been identified as Rah Hussain Bhat of  Batbagh, Hunipora – Nehama of Pulwama.

An FIR has been registered by Jammu Police.

The accused was arrested from PS Bus Stand in Jammu and the case has been filed under Section 4/5 ESA, 18,23,38 UAPA ,120B of Indian Penal Code in case of recovery of IED.

According to Police Officials, Rah Hussain Bhat is an on ground worker and motivator of Al – Badr terror outfit and is involved in conspiracy of providing logistic support to Al – Badr group.

Reports read that Rah Bhat is in direct contact with handlers from Pakistan and was also involved in the conspiracy to carry out an IED attack at Jammu.

In a similar case, NIA had arrested a Taraq Hussain Giri of Jammu Kashmir’s Kishtwar district for harboring and providing logistical support to two terrorists of Pakistan’s Hizbul – Mujahideen, following the snatching of a service rifle from the escort in-charge of Kishtwar District Magistrate in 2019, an official said.

The case was initially registered on March 8, 2019 under sections of the RPC, the Arms Act and the UA(P)Act relating to snatching of service weapon from escort in-charge of Kishtwar DM.
