The Jammu Kashmir police on Friday refuted the reports that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chief and former chief minister of Jammu Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti was put under house detention.
In a tweet Mehbooba Mufti had claimed that she was put under house detention, however the official handle of Jammu Kashmir Police has countered saying that she is not under house detention.
The Police in their tweet said, “She was requested to postpone her visit to Pulwama purely due to security reasons”.
Earlier the authorities disallowed Mehbooba Mufti to address a press conference at her residence in Srinagar Kashmir.
