A 2-year-old boy died after falling into a pit in Batergam in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district this afternoon.
Reports reaching GNS said that a child namely Sabzar Ahmad Shiekh son of Fayaz Ahmad Shiekh, a resident of Shiekh Mohalla Batergam fell into a pit whereupon he was rescued by locals and taken to Sub-district hospital Kupwara for treatment.
The doctors however after initial assessment declared the boy as brought dead on arrival.
A police official concerned has also confirmed the incident to GNS. (GNS)
