Naxalite attack: 11 troopers killed in IED blast in Chattisgarh

At least 11 security personnel were killed in a blast carried out by Naxal insurgents using an improvised explosive device (IED) in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada on April 25.

The deceased include 10 District Reserve Guard (DRG) personnel and a driver attached to their unit.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said “There is such information with us”, on being asked by reporters in Raipur over the fatal attack on the 11 security personnel. “It is very saddening. My condolences to the bereaved families,” he added.

While the chief minister did not share the details, CNN-News18 learnt from officials that 10 soldiers and a driver of the security forces was killed in the IED blast.
