No NIS Coaches for Taekwondo Players of Kashmir

Taekwondo athletes from different areas of kashmir are worried about their future, as the local administration has failed to post here National Institute of sports coaches (NIS), leaving many athletes worried.

Non availability of professional coaches for Taekwondo sports in kashmir has shattered the dreams of kashmiri Taekwondo sportsmen including Syed taha who is representing kashmir on national level, and has won 12 times state gold medals and 14 times district gold medals.

While speaking to The Kashmiriyat Taha said that he wants to be professional coach in Taekwondo but due to lack of infrastructure, he is not able to be.

Hailing from Narbal area of district Budgam, he said that he has been playing it from last twenty years. “My coach was Syed Ashaq Hussain who encouraged me all time and guided me thoroughly,  So far I remained unbeaten in twenty consecutive championships within the state of Jammu Kashmir (J&K),” he said.

There are many Taekwondo players in Kashmir who want to show their talents on different platforms but are facing numerous problems due the lacks infrastructure.

Youngest current male athlete from kashmir Taha, played National for Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). And six times best player on his name, today is going through ACL severe injury and is recovering from it.

“Save our future and post National Institute of Sports (NIS) coaches here who can guide Taekwondo players on time, otherwise our future is dark, “they said.

23 year old National player Taha, and other players have kept their dream for the international Olympic dreams and appealed Governor led administration to post National Institute Of Sports (NIS) coaches through which their future won’t be ruined.
