Noise pollution disrupts tranquility of Azad Colony residents

Inhabitants from Azad Colony 90 feet Soura here in Srinagar outskirts vehemently appealed to authorities to save them from the menace of noise pollution.

A delegation from the locality told news agency Kashmir News Trust that two private banks operating from a shopping mall make use of generators that are a source of menacing noise pollution.

“The constant humming and rumbling noises emitted from these machines disrupt the tranquility we all seek within our homes. Furthermore, it affects our ability to concentrate on work or enjoy quality time with family and loved ones,” they said adding that even their children are unable to concentrate on their studies.

They requested to authorities overseeing such matters, to intervene and address this issue urgently.” [KNT]
