Non-Bailable warrant issued against 13 militants based in Pakistan: Police

Non-Bailable Warrant (NBWs) have been issued by Kishtwar Police from NIA court Jammu against 13 active militants of Kishtwar district who are presently operating from POK.

Police in a statement to The Kashmir Scroll said that upon request of Kishtwar Police,NIA Special Court, Jammu, issued Non Bailable Warrants (NBWs)against 13 militants who hail from District Kishtwar but they are settled and operating from PAK/POK.

The name of such militants includes 1. Shahnawaz Kanth @ Munna @Umer S/O Abdul Rasheed R/ Hullar Kishtwar 2. Nayeem Ahmed @ Amir/Gazi S/O Gh. Nabi Gundna R/O Near Jamia Masjid Kishtwar 3. Mohd Iqbal @Bilal S/O Mohd Akber Butt R/O Near Kichloo Market Kishtwar 4. Shahnawaz @ Nayeem S/O Gh. Mohd R/O Chirool Padyarna 5. Javid Hussain Giri@ Muzamil S/O Mohd Amin Giri R/O Kundali Pochal
6. Bashir Ahmed Mughal S/O Gh. Qadir Mughal R/O Jugna Keshwan 7. Gazi-ul-Din S/O Mohd Ayoub Guijer R/O Jugna Keshwan 8. Sattar Din @ Rajab @ Saifullah S/O Mehar Din Gujjer R/O Jugna Keshwan 9. The warrants have been issued in NIA case FIR 272/2022 (J&K milltant related case), which stands charged with offences in case FIR No.272/2022 under Section120-B/121-A/IPC, 13/18/39/UAPA OF P/S Kishtwar, police said.

SSP Kishtwar Sh. Khalil Poswal-JKPS said that Cheif Investigation Officer (CIO) of Kishtwar Police approached the Special NIA Court for issuing Non-Bailable Warrants against above accused for their active involvement in terror activities for creating unrest in the chenab valley and other parts of Jammu and Kashmir.

They mobilised sleeper cells and pushed them into J&K in connivance with secessionist and separatist leaders for waging war against the Government of India with the nefarious design of seceding Jammu and Kashmir from Union of India, he said.
