A complete shutdown is being observed in Sumbal area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Monday against the arrest of a local youth by Dehli police.
Scores of people took out a protest march demanding release of the local youth Hilal Ahmad Bhat.
Locals said that all business establishments, educational institutes and shops have shut in the town.
Pertinently a youth named Hilal was arrested on January 23 by Government Forces from his home and shifted to Delhi.

The parents of Hilal Ahmed speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that Hilal was not arrested, but he was taken to the Police station by them.
“He had been summoned to the Police station and later we presented him before the concerned police station,” the parents of Hilal told The Kashmiriyat.
